Despite references to the old Rawhide TV Show and a more recent Crosby, Stills, Nash title, life has been overwhelming with thoughts, emotions, and ACTION! Geez - changing your life, accounts, email, mail, address list, everything after 21 years in the same place is wild. Truly - of all the things I have lost the last month, I miss my mind the most. Looking at the blog a few times after we got back online after a couple of weeks offline, it was just too mind-boggling to write anything.

What a peace, though, about the move. Slowly culling through the boxes, after hurriedly packing as we sold our house in less than a week - we are now about hip deep in boxes and waist deep in "stuff" as opposed to chin deep a week ago. And gettin' a routine together that is mucho slower paced - ahhhh - nice. Time to walk in the morning, even if I sleep in and the major decision is whether to have coffee before I walk, or after -- or both usually. Making contacts and forging relationships will come later, but for now the more frequent time with our daughter and son-in-law and the scattered contact with family is enough. We are forging our routine together as old retired farts as well and that, too, is peaceful and comfortable with a healthy sprinkling of spice and yappping at each other.
