The day after Easter this year, way past time to jot some thoughts. Easter is always a time of reflection for me, a time to regroup my priorities and examine my faith and how events have impacted me in the past year. The usual pace for me is to begin with great gusto, wane in the middle, and then renew heartily the 4 big days of Easter weekend. Although somewhat poking fun at myself, it is a time of importance. More about faith on my other faith blog.
Easter is not family time of note for us and is a usually quiet day. This year brought a very nice low-key evening meal with Kristin, our daughter and her hubby, Jeremiah. The grand source of entertainment is our "grand dogs," Fiona the Yorkie, and Nano, the daschund
Our back yard is a great joy to us all. Mike works hard, it is lovely and we all benefit - me, Kristin, Jeremiah, Fiona and Nano. Our great adventures after worship yesterday were finding a wee bunny in the mower basket and later a grass snake near the garage door.
Mike constantly battles the rabbits, but I shrieked about it being a baby, so baby bunny was spared and deported to the neighbors yard, at least until their dog gets it's teeth and paws in poor wee Peter Cottontail. Mike was inclined to be much more merciful to the snake, while I would have been fine if the snake had met it's demise. Agh following the stereotype of "furry and cute, cuddly" VS " cold evil reptilian,"
Tday brings more April showers, hoping they remain showers.
